CREATING AMBIANCE WITH AMBER

Set a piece of Amber, big or small, in the light, and you'll start to feel the warm and fuzzies that come with this light-bearing stone.

Amber is the perfect stone to include in your home because it is the energetic equivalent of "keeping the home fires burning". This naturally fossilized botanic resin is a mixture of hydrocarbons. Unlike other crystals and stones formed beneath the Earth's surface, "Amber is first created by the synthesis of light by plants and trees. As it is fossilized, that life force is then solidified into the material we know as Amber," says author Naisha Ahsian in The Book of Stones.

Its warm and nurturing energies bring harmony to any space by transforming negative or stagnant energies into more clear, usable frequencies. Think of the way plants recycle carbon dioxide into oxygen in your home. It is a similar purification but of energy that is provided by Amber.

Historically, Amber has been used for thousands of years (as far back as 2000 B.C. in ancient Egypt and Greece) in crafting jewelry and ornaments. It is said to hold a key to ancient knowledge, giving unique access to one's ancestral lineage, making it excellent for clearing familial patterns.

Because Amber carries light energy, it's an excellent assist for those who suffer depression during the lower light months of winter.

Warmth, harmony, clarity, purification, transmutation, strength, security, light: all welcome attributes of a healthy home, all delivered beautifully by the energy of the unique blend of hydrocarbons called Amber.
